Pediatric Nursing

Pediatric Services

When it comes to providing for medically fragile children and adults, we know what matters most. It’s why we approach caring for each child as if we were caring for a member of our own family. Med-Source Healthcare Services offers quality service with a compassionate touch. Med-Source Healthcare provides each patient with the necessary assistance they need at home to enjoy a safe, healthy, and fulfilling childhood. Our experienced, licensed nurses work closely with each family to develop an environment that not only nourishes the physical and mental development of each child, but also supports the entire family.

Med-Source Healthcare Services, Inc. has a multidisciplinary staff providing state-of-the-art care to children with life-threatening medical and surgical conditions. Our agency is equipped and staffed to care for critically ill infants, children and adolescents around the clock. Med-Source Healthcare Services is staffed with critical-care nurses and other health-care professionals specifically trained to care for the needs of a critically-ill child.

Our pediatric private duty nursing services are available whenever you need them – on an hourly, daily or per-visit basis, up to 24 hours daily, giving parents the time to work and to sleep. Our nurses care for children, adolescents and young adults up to 21 years of age, and support family members in their care for their loved one. (We are able to provide this level of support to adult patients as well.)

Many of the children in our care live with one or more of the following:

  • Ventilator support (continuous or intermittent).
  • Bronchopulmonary dysplasia and other respiratory disorders.
  • Muscular dystrophies.
  • Seizure disorders.
  • Tracheostomy or tracheomalacia.
  • G-tube, G/J tube or N/G tube.
  • Cerebral palsy.
  • Cardiac anomalies.
  • These conditions and equipment require training, experience and services that meet the specific needs of your child.

Our pediatric services include:

High-Risk Neonatal Nursing – support for parents of newborns with high-risk health issues
Pediatric Private Duty Nursing – one-on-one care for pediatric patients
Certified Home Health Aide Services – one-on-one care for pediatric patients in hourly shifts for patients who require assistance with activities of daily living.
